BRISTOL, Tenn. – In the first week of the season, King University men's volleyball player Joshua Kim was selected Conference Carolinas Player of the Week. In two matches last week, Kim averaged 2.71 kills per set against a pair of ranked teams.
The junior started the season with 16 kills and hit .250 in a 3-1 defeat at #11 Loyola University Chicago. He added three digs and two block assists in the match. For the week he posted 19 kills for an average of 2.71 kills per set while posting five digs and three blocks.
This marks the first Conference Carolinas Player of the Week award for Kim in his career.
The Tornado continue their season on the road on Wednesday when they travel to Tusculum University. First serve from Greeneville, Tenn. is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
