Conference Carolinas Release
BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's outdoor track & field season was cut short due to the national pandemic of COVID-19. Conference Carolinas announced their all-conference team, comprised of seniors from each member school as the Tornado had four seniors named to the team.
Brandon Bejarano joined the Tornado prior to last season and set four personal records during the 2019 outdoor season. The Margate, Fla., native set a personal best with a 400 meter hurdles time of 58.51 seconds at the Conference Carolinas Championships. He also set personal records in the 800 meter dash, 3000 meter steeplechase and 400 meter dash.
TJ McMurray hails from Bristol, Va., and has had a great career donning the scarlet and navy. During the outdoor season in 2019, McMurray finished fifth in each the shot put and discus while taking sixth in the hammer throw with a personal record mark of 45.42 meters. Earlier in the year he set a personal-best shot put mark of 13.49 meters.
Adriel McPhee came to King from Freeport, Bahamas and has had a solid four-year career for the Tornado. He owns the school record in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.63 seconds in 2018. That season he garnered second team All-Conference Carolinas honors and USTFCCCA All-Region accolades during the outdoor season. A season ago he set a 100 meter dash personal record with a time of 11.79 seconds.
Braidon Miller joined King from Lebanon, Tenn., and has had a solid career on campus. Miller redshirted during the outdoor season in 2019 and prior to that he set four personal records in 2018. The personal records came in the shot put (13.22 meters), discus (40.79 meters), javelin (36.45 meters) and the hammer throw (39.46 meters).
