BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's soccer team was honored by the United Soccer Coaches on Thursday when the association announced their Team Academic Award winners. The Tornado earned the award for the sixth straight year.
To qualify for the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award, a team needs to have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. King was one of 333 men's teams across the country and one of two Conference Carolinas member schools to earn the distinction as they were joined by Chowan University.
Under the tutelage of
Richie Rose, the Tornado posted a team GPA 3.30, earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the sixth time in program history.
