Joshua Kim had a great weekend, leading the King University men's volleyball team to a pair of wins over NCAA Division I foe Saint Francis University (Pa.). On Monday, Kim earned a pair of weekly awads as he was selected Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Week. He was also selected
Off The Block National Opposite of the Week.
The senior started the season with 18 kills, 11 digs and two blocks in a 3-1 win on Friday night. On Saturday, Kim again led the Tornado, this time posting 19 kills and hitting .378. In the contest, Kim added seven digs in the 3-2 victory. For the week, Kim hit .342 with 37 kills for an average of 4.11 kills per set. He added four service aces, two blocks and 18 digs for an average of 2.00 digs per set.
This marks Kim's first career national weekly award and his first conference weekly award of the year.
King is scheduled to open their home schedule on Friday at 7:00 p.m. when they host Lindenwood University (Mo.)
