BRISTOL, Tenn. – In a key Conference Carolinas match, the King University women's soccer team fought their way back to earn a draw with Emmanuel College. The Tornado scored a goal late in the first half, and another in the second half to come away with the draw.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Emmanuel controlled play early, taking a pair of shots in the opening 15 minutes.
- That pressure paid off in the 20th minute when Brianna Bishop scored with an assist to Zoe Logue.
- Erin Foster came up with a save for the Tornado in the 31st minute before Emmanuel struck again in the 35th minute.
- The Tornado turned the field and cut their deficit in half in the 37th minute.
- Veronica Roach played a cross that Hannah Hix headed into the goal, cutting the King deficit to 2-1.
- Emmanuel took a pair of shots over the final five minutes and held a 2-1 lead at the break.
- The Tornado had a chance to net the equalizer in the 48th minute, but the Emmanuel goalkeeper came up with a save on the penalty kick.
- King then had two corner kicks and a shot by Roach but couldn't find the back of the net.
- Roach then found the equalizer in the 62nd minute when she ripped a shot from the top of the box into the lower right hand corner of the net.
- Foster came up with two saves in the final 10 minutes, sending the contest to overtime.
- Emmanuel had two shots in the first extra session, but Foster came up with saves on both occasions and the contest went to a second overtime.
- The Lions nearly ended the contest in the 107th minute, but the shot went off the crossbar.
- The other two shots from Emmanuel were off target as the contest ended in a 2-2 draw.

- The goal for Roach is her second of the season.
- Hix, a senior scored her first career goal on senior day.
