Tornado take 8th at Conference Carolinas Indoor Championships

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The King University men's track & field team finished eighth at the Conference Carolinas Indoor Championships. The Tornado were led by all-conference finishes from Kolin Miller and Reed Samuel.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Samuel finished runner-up in the long jump with a leap of 6.92 meters.
  • He also finished eighth in the triple jump with a mark of 12.82 meters.
  • In the weight throw, Miller took third with a mark of 16.09 meters.
  • He also took fifth in the shot put with a mark of 13.28 meters.
  • Clathton Henfield narrowly missed the podium in the 400 meter dash, finishing fourth with a time of 51.36 seconds.
FOR THE FOES
  • The University of Mount Olive won the team title with Emmanuel College finished second.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
  • Samuel earns second team all-conference honors in the long jump and Miller garners third team honors in the weight throw.
UP NEXT
  • King is scheduled to open the outdoor season on March 6 at the Susan Rouse Invitational at Southern Wesleyan University.
