BRISTOL, Tenn. –
Nikole Counts had a solid weekend in the circle for the King University softball team as she was selected Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) Pitcher of the Week.
Counts went 1-1 on the weekend with two starts. In those starts she posted an ERA of 1.08, allowing only two earned runs on the week. She defeated Emmanuel College 4-2 on Friday allowing two unearned runs on six hits and striking out four. On Saturday, Counts posted three strikeouts, allowing only two earned runs on three hits at Erskine College.
This marks the second time this season that Counts has been selected TSWA Pitcher of the Week. The other came on February 23.
The Tornado are scheduled to be in action again on Wednesday when they host Bluefield State College at 1:00 p.m.
