BRISTOL, Tenn. –
Rikkelle Miller of the King University of softball had a big week, leading the Tornado to a 6-0 record last week. On Tuesday Miller was selected Conference Carolinas Player of the Week.
Miller helped the Tornado to six wins on the week, going 9-for-18 at the plate with four doubles, one triple and one home run. Miller also scored six runs and drove in nine for the Tornado. Against the top pitching in Conference Carolinas over the weekend, Miller posted four hits, scored twice and drove in three as King swept doubleheaders from Southern Wesleyan University and North Greenville University.
This marks the first Conference Carolinas Player of the Week award Miller has won in her career.
King is in action this afternoon as they travel to UVA Wise at 1:00 p.m.
