WISE, Va. – The King University softball team dropped a pair of nonconference games at UVA Wise on Tuesday afternoon. The Tornado fell 11-0 in game one before dropping game two 8-0.

KING HIGHLIGHTS
- The Tornado had seven hits on the day, all coming from different players.
GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS
- UVA Wise got on the board in the first inning with an unearned run on a sacrifice fly that scored Sarah Barrett who started the inning with a single.
- Azlee Sells registered the first Tornado hit of the day in the third inning, a single to left field, but she was stranded.
- UVA Wise opened the game up with six runs in the bottom of the third inning. The big blow was a two-run home run from Kaylee Jones.
- The Cavaliers hit two more two-run home runs in the fourth inning to extend their lead to 11-0.
- The Tornado offense was held down by Raychel Lapallo who registered nine strikeouts in the 11-0 Cavalier victory.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS
- The Cavaliers jumped ahead in the second inning of game two on a two-run single from Katie Russell.
- King had baserunners in the first, third and fourth innings, but the Tornado couldn't string multiple hits together against the Cavalier pitching.
- In the fourth inning, Russell doubled the Cavalier lead to 4-0 with a two-run home run.
- The Cavaliers then ended the game with four runs in the fifth inning, two on a Russell double and a pair on two sacrifice flies to take the game 8-0.
