MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The King University baseball team dropped a pair of away games against the University of Mount Olive on Saturday. The No. 3 ranked Trojans remained undefeated following the first half of a four-game series against the Tornado.

SERIES HIGHLIGHTS
- Austin Meyer paced the King offense with three hits on the day, including a 2-for-3 performance in game two. He drove in one run in game two and scored a run in the second contest as well.
- Davis Hall picked up a pair of hits and drove in a run in the second contest.
- Junior Renwick tallied a home run in the first inning of game one for his third homer of the season as part of day where he picked up two runs batted in.
GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS
- The Tornado scored the first run of the day via a solo home run from Renwick.
- Mount Olive responded in the bottom of the first with a run of their own.
- The Trojans used a four-run fourth inning to put the game out of reach. A Tornado error at first base off a hit from Aaron Hedgepeth allowed two runs to come home.
- Mount Olive added two more runs in the bottom of the fourth to head into the fifth inning with a 5-1 lead.
- The Trojans duplicated the fourth inning with four more runs in the bottom of the fifth.
- Renwick flied out to left field in the top of the sixth to bring home David Carnicella for the final run of game one.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS
- The Trojans started off hot, scoring four runs in the first inning.
- The Tornado walked consecutive batters in the bottom of the first to give Mount Olive the spark that they needed. The Trojans put three runs on the board with just one out in the first inning.
- Dusty Baker got in the act as he singled through the right side to bring home Blake McClean for the first run of the game.
- Baker made it home for the second run of the game before the Trojans ended the first inning with four runs on the board.
- Mount Olive added two runs in the bottom of the fourth to extend their lead as McLean and Baker both drove in a run.
- King got on the board in the top of the fifth. Deric Graham doubled to right center to bring home Meyer.
- Graham made it home as well following a single from Hall to put the finishing touches on a two-run fifth inning.
- The Tornado added two runs in the top of the ninth inning to trim the deficit to 8-4. Jarrett Backus came home following a double to right center from Meyer.
- Graham was thrown out at first but drove in Rob Sari for the final Tornado run of the day.

- Hedgepeth led the Trojans with four hits on the day to go along with three runs batted in.
- Alan Alonso and McLean added three hits to accompany two runs that they both drove in.
