BRISTOL, Tenn. – King University inducted 42 student-athletes into the Chi Alpha Sigma National Honor Society, which recognized both on and off the field of competition.
Student-athletes that are recognized are juniors or higher, earned a GPA of at least 3.4 and a varsity letter in their sport.
The men's soccer and acrobatics & tumbling teams led the way for King with six inductees each while the women's wrestling team had five.
"We have a remarkable group of student-athletes, who demonstrate their immense talent by achieving excellence on and off the field," director of athletics
David Hicks said. "It's a proud moment as an AD when we consistently have student-athletes who embody the true meaning of the word."
Chi Alpha Sigma is the first and only nonprofit organization that was established to recognize college student-athletes who excel both on and off the field of competition. Founded in 1996 by then DePauw University head football coach, Nick Mourouzis, Chi Alpha Sigma continues to provide outstanding student-athletes with an opportunity to become connected within a fraternal association that aligns their educational and athletic successes for a lifetime.
