Ashley Doyle of the King University women's cross country team and
Kenny Turner of the King University men's basketball team have been chosen as the Delta Blues SAAC Student-Athletes of the Month for November.
Doyle, a sophomore from Johnson City, started the month with a 5th-place finish at the Conference Carolinas championships, setting a 6K personal record of 23:21.9. Two weeks later at the NCAA Southeast Regional, she bested that time, finishing in 23:19.81 to place 34th.
Turner started seven games for the Tornado, averaging 25.1 minutes, 9.9 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. The sophomore from Coral Springs, Fla., posted a career-high 17 points in a win over Erskine on Nov. 22, a game where he also set a career-high with 14 rebounds, marking the first double-double of his career.
