ALBANY, Ga. – The King University men's golf team was led by the individual champion
Samuel Trueba at the Hurricane Invitational. Trueba shot nine under as the Tornado finished 14th with a tournament total of 890.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Trueba shot three rounds under par, starting with a round of 69 on Monday. Later in the day he followed that with a round of 67.
- Trueba closed the tournament by carding a 71 to finish with a stroke total of nine under 207 to win the tournament by two strokes.
- Åasmund Norum finished with a stroke total of 227. He started with rounds of 76 and 74 on Monday before finishing with a round of 77 on Tuesday.
- Alex Bradford opened with rounds of 73 and 75 on Monday before closing with a round of 80 on Tuesday to finish with a total of 228.
- Jeffery Perez was consistent over the three rounds, shooting 78 on each of the first two rounds before closing with a round of 77. He finished with a stroke total of 233.
- Jose Luis Garcia Jimenez finished with a tournament total of 235 as he started with rounds of 78 and 82 on the opening day. He closed with a round of 75.
FOR THE FOES
- The University of North Georgia won the tournament with a tournament total of 857 while Georgia Southwestern State University finished second at 858.
- Trueba finished two strokes ahead of North Georgia's Noah Zediker who shot 209.
BEYOND THE BOX
- The win for Trueba is his second of the season as he won the King Invitational in the fall.
- He becomes the first Tornado to win more than one tournament in his career.
