  • The Tornado picked up after the timeout right where they left off, as Sawyer had a quick kill, followed by a solo Kennedy block to push the score to 12-5.
  • King continued the domination, as Kennedy started another scoring run with a kill, which was followed by an AJ Drooker service ace, along with a block by Sawyer and Kennedy.
  • The Pioneers would score four straight points late in the set, but the Tornado were able to cruise to a 25-17 set win, going up 2-0 in the match.

  • Tusculum eventually took a 13-10 lead, eventually using a 4-0 run to go ahead 17-12.
  • After a King timeout, Carroll recorded a kill, but Tusculum quickly extended their lead to 21-14 before a Davis kill ended the scoring run.

Fifth Set
  • Tusculum took an early 4-2 lead before a pair of attack errors leveled the set at 4.
  • After a block from Sawyer and Milstead evened the set at five, the Tornado started to put some distance between themselves and the Pioneers, as that started a run of four consecutive points, giving King a 9-5 lead.
  • The Tornado were able to get to match point, up 14-10, but the Pioneers wouldn't go away easy, scoring two consecutive points off a timeout to get to within 14-12 before Kennedy ended the match with a kill, giving King a 3-2 win.
