BRISTOL, Tenn. –
Samara Chavez and Forrest Molinari '16 of the King University women's wrestling team will represent Team USA this week at the Pan-American games in Santiago, Chile. Molinari will wrestle at 68 kilograms while Chavez will compete at 53 kilograms.
Molinari will start her tournament Thursday at 9 a.m. ET, with the final rounds scheduled for 4 p.m. ET Thursday. This will be her first time competing in the Pan-America championships. She is no stranger to international competition, having won gold at the Pan American Championships earlier this year.
Chavez, who is also a member of the U.S. National Team, will start her tournament run Friday morning at 9 a.m. ET, with the finals set for 4 p.m. ET. She is a two-time NCWWC All-American, and finished second at the 2023 national championships. She has a career record of 49-8, with 15 wins over ranked opponents.
