CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The King University women's basketball team played an exhibition game at NCAA Division I foe University of Tennessee at Chattanooga on Monday morning. The Mocs took the contest 88-32.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Period
- Alexa Gramann got the Tornado on the board with a jump shot in the opening minutes before Chattanooga scored 11 straight points before an Ashley Allen free throw.
- The Mocs then closed the quarter on a 17-0 run to take a 30-3 advantage.
Second Period
- The run extended to 19-0 as the Mocs scored the first basket of the second period before a Jaden Potts layup.
- Allen made a pair of baskets in the quarter and Jhayda McKinney made a jump shot in the final minutes, but King trailed 54-13 at the half.
Third Period
- Brianna Dunbar and Allen accounted for back-to-back Tornado baskets in the opening three minutes of the period.
- Torey Walker made a free throw before Morgan Bone connected from long range in the waning minutes of the period, but Chattanooga held a 70-21 lead going to the final stanza.
Fourth Period
- Bone started the final period with back-to-back triples before a Potts jump shot.
- Le'Aije Ellington later made a layup and Kayla Beach made a free throw, but the Tornado fell to the Mocx 88-32.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Allen and Bone paced the Tornado offense with nine points apiece.
- Allen and Alayna Smith snared a team-high four rebounds while Brianna Dunbar handed out two assists.
FOR THE FOES
- Hannah Kohn led Chattanooga with 17 points while Jada Guinn and Raven Thompson added 16 points apiece.
- Kailyn Farrell grabbed a game-high nine rebounds.
UP NEXT
- King opens the regular season with a home tournament on Friday and Saturday. The Tornado take on Limestone University on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. before facing of with Lincoln Memorial University at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
- Chattanooga travels to Austin Peay University on Friday night.
