BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's volleyball team extended their win streak to four matches Friday night with a 3-1 win over Emmanuel.
THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Set
- The Tornado took an early 7-3 lead, with Jackson Carroll and Kellan Kennedy each picking up a kill.
- Emmanuel fought back and took a lead before AJ Drooker had a kill to tie the set at 14.
- King used that to start their momentum, pulling ahead 23-17 on another Drooker kill.
- After the Lions came back to within 23-20, Kennedy and Carroll went back-to-back on kills to close the set, with King winning 25-20.
Second Set
- Drooker got the Tornado started early, with a pair of quick kills to put King up 2-0.
- Neither team was able to establish a large lead though, with two points being either team's largest lead of the set.
- After Emmanuel took an 18-17 lead, Kennedy picked up another kill, tying the set at 18 before an attack error gave King a 19-18 lead.
- King would eventually go ahead 23-21 before Warren Davis and Kennedy wrapped up the set with consecutive kills, handing King a second set win, 25-21.
Third Set
- The Tornado scored five consecutive points, all of which came on attack errors by Emmanuel to take a 9-4 lead.
- After a Carroll kill, Drooker had a service ace to extend the advantage to 11-6.
- Emmanuel would fight back, eventually tying the set at 18.
- Another Carroll kill would put King back in front, eventually getting to 20-18 before the Lions scored three in a row to go ahead 21-20.
- After the Tornado tied the set at 22, Emmanuel scored the final three points of the set to win 25-22.
Fourth Set
- After Emmanuel scored the first two points, the Tornado came storming back, scoring the next four points to go ahead 4-2.
- The Lions continued to hang tight, until the Tornado used a Davis kill to take a 12-11 lead, which quickly became 15-11 after Davis picked up a service ace and Carroll recorded a kill.
- After a timeout, the Lions would score two of the next three points, but King then scored six consecutive points, stretching their lead to 22-13.
- Emmanuel did score a couple of points, but King ended the match scoring three consecutive points, with Colton Bueter picking up a kill
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Carroll led the Tornado attack with 17 kills, and also provided four digs and a solo block, along with a pair of block assists. He has now posted double-digit kills in three consecutive matches.
- Sarnowski handed out 45 assists, along with six digs.
- Justin Sawyer tallied 12 digs.
FOR THE FOES
- Jayden Young had 18 kills for Emmanuel, along with five digs.
- Carlos Guerrero (12) and Nicklas Eichenberger (10) also had double-digit kills, with Eichenberger also recording 10 digs on the night.

- The Tornado have a quick turnaround, as they will face Erskine College Saturday afternoon inside the Student Center.
- Emmanuel will play at Lees-McRae Saturday afternoon.
