BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's wrestling team clinched a spot in the Conference Carolinas Men's Wrestling Championship with a pair of wins on Thursday night. The Tornado topped Lincoln Memorial University 45-6 before taking a win by forfeit over Bluefield State University.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Tyson Upchurch started the Tornado off on the right foot with a 10-6 decision over Porter Finstad at 125 pounds.
- Franky Medina followed with a 17-0 technical fall over Hernand Pinto at 133 pounds.
- At 149 pounds, Demetri Teddlie defeated Austin Vincent 12-9 to vie King an 11-6 lead.
- Brennan Watkins then took a 17-2 technical fall over Graham Rocha at 157 pounds before Trent Mahone pinned Nicholas Krauss in 35 seconds at 165 pounds.
- At 174 pounds, Vincent Galang took a 15-0 technical fall over James Thaxton before a Lincoln Memorial forfeit gave King a 33-6 lead.
- JJ Pociask then pinned Michael Nun in 6:43 at 197 pounds before Jacob Telles capped the 45-6 win with a 1:44 pin of Gabriel Croom at 285 pounds.
