DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The King University softball team dropped a pair of contests on Thursday at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. The Tornado nearly came back in game one, falling 9-4 before dropping the nightcap 3-0.

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS
- Campbell got the Tornado off to a hot start with a triple to start the game, and Tinsley Thompson followed with a walk and stolen base.
- However, the Eagles retired the next three batters to keep the game scoreless.
- Embry-Riddle took advantage of a pair of Tornado miscues in the first to take a 2-0 lead.
- The Eagles added another unearned run in the second before plating two more unearned runs to take a 5-0 lead after three innings.
- Embry-Riddle looked to add more runs in the fourth, but Marleigh Duncan got an out to leave the bases loaded.
- A home run from Shelby Morse gave the Eagles a 6-0 lead going to the sixth inning.
- The inning started with four straight singles from Suits, Vaught, pinch hitter Helina Hahn and Warner's knock got King on the board.
- A groundout added another run before Campbell drove in two on a triple to right field.
- However, the Eagles turned a double play to end the inning with the Tornado trailing 6-4.
- A pair of Embry-Riddle doubles and a single gave the Eagles a 9-4 lead going to the seventh inning.
- Rachel Jardim and Suits posted one-out hits in the seventh, but the Eagles got the final two outs to take the game 9-4.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS
- The Eagles got on the board in the first inning with a two-out triple and a steal of home.
- A walk followed by a pair of stolen bases and a groundout gave Embry-Riddle a 2-0 lead in the third inning.
- Haylee Dye came up with a one-out single and Lilly Million followed with a walk in King half of the fourth inning. However, the Eagles got the next two outs to end the frame.
- Embry-Riddle extended their lead to 3-0 with a leadoff single and a triple in the bottom of the fourth inning before the Tornado got the next three outs.
- King again came up with back-to-back one-out singles in the fifth, but both runners were left.
- Rice worked a two-out walk in the seventh, but that was it for the Tornado as Embry-Riddle took the contest 3-0.
