BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University softball team walked off Erskine College, 7-6 in game one of their Conference Carolinas doubleheader Friday afternoon before falling 3-2 in a rain shortened second game.

KING HIGHLIGHTS
GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS
- Erskine took a 2-0 lead heading into the bottom of the third.
- The Tornado tied the game in the bottom, with K. Ryan leading off by drawing a walk, scoring on a Dye double to left field.
- Lilly Million then hit a sacrifice fly to center field, scoring Dye and evening the score.
- A throwing error in the fourth gave Erskine the lead back, but a K. Ryan sacrifice fly in the bottom scored Tori Ryan and brough King back even at three.
- The Tornado took their first lead in the fifth, as Suits led off with a triple, scoring when Thompson hit a triple to left center field.
- Thompson later scored on a double by T. Ryan, putting King in front 5-3.
- After the Flying Fleet scored three runs in the top of the sixth to take a 6-5 lead, the Tornado responded in the bottom of the seventh.
- Thompson started with a hit by pitch, advancing to second when Aviah Bunsic singled.
- T. Ryan then singled up the middle, scoring Thompson to tie the game at six.
- Warner singled a few batters later, scoring Bunsic and winning the game for the Tornado.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS
- Erskine again took an early lead, scoring in the top of the first to go ahead 1-0.
- Jardim hit her first home run in the third, tying the game at one before homering again in the fifth to put the Tornado in front 2-1.
- In the top of the sixth, the Flying Fleet scored two runs, taking a 3-2 advantage.
- Bunsic hit a one-out double in the bottom of the sixth, but Erskine turned a game-ending double play to clinch a win, as the game was called at that point due to rain.
