King holds annual Twisty Awards

BRISTOL, Tenn. – King University held their annual Twisty Awards on Wednesday night. The banquet was hosted at the Paramount Center for The Arts, downtown Bristol, for the second time. Numerous awards were handed out, including the Al Nida Male Athlete of the Year and Susie Toomey Female Athlete of the Year.

Warren Davis of men's volleyball won the Al Nida Award. Davis is the first player in program history to reach 400 kills in a season. He was named Conference Carolinas Tournament MVP, All-Conference Carolinas, CSC Academic All-District and honorable mention All-America

The Susie Toomey Award winner was Hailee Blankenship from women's volleyball. She is a two-time All-Conference Carolinas honoree, has twice been named Academic All-Conference Carolinas,  and has 30 career double-doubles.
