CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The second-ranked King University women's wrestling team finished fourth at the 2025 National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) National Duals, falling to #3 North Central and #5 McKendree Saturday. This is the sixth consecutive National Duals tournament where King has finished in the top-four.

HOW IT HAPPENED - #3 North Central
- #5 Avery Kibelbek won a 10-2 decision at 103 pounds, which was followed by wins by #3 Samara Chavez and #5 Clare Booe, who won a 9-6 decision over #2 Sydney Petzinger at 117 pounds to put King in front 9-2.
- North Central won the next four bouts, before top-ranked Chey Bowman pinned #7 Tiera Jimerson in 5:42 at 160 pounds.
- North Central then won the final two bouts, taking a 26-15 win.
HOW IT HAPPENED - #5 McKendree
- After the Bearcats won at 103 pounds, King took the next three matches, including a win by decision for #2 Montana DeLawder over #3 Shelby Moore, along with wins by #6 Dianna Holmes and #6 Melanie Mendoza.
- McKendree won the next two matches, taking a 15-11 lead before #2 Aine Drury won a 12-2 tech fall at 145 pounds, pulling King to within 16-15.
- McKendree won the final three bouts, with King picking up a point at 160 pounds to make the final score 28-16.

- King will host Emmanuel and Mount Olive Saturday. The duals will take place in Kline Gymnasium.
