BELMONT, N.C. – The King University men's volleyball team traveled to Belmont N.C. for a Conference Carolinas match up against the Belmont Abbey Crusaders.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- King scored the first two points of the evening including an ace from Alex Barkley.
- Both teams kept the set close for the first half before Belmont Abbey went on a 7-2 run.
- Alessandro Fermani and Barkley each had 3 kills in the opening set.
- Belmont Abbey opened the second set with four straight points before Barkley had a kill from JP Ribeiro.
- King would score four straight to come within one point but trailed for the remained of the set. Colton Bueter would have an ace later in the set.
- The Tornado trailed the majority of the third set, but attempted a comeback following the timeout halfway through. King outscored the Crusaders 13-7, but Belmont Abbey secured the match win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Alex Barkley led the offense with 8 kills and Allessandro Fermani added 6 kills.
- JP Ribeiro had 19 assists and had one of King's four aces. Femrani, Barkley, and Colton Bueter also added a service ace.
