GREENWOOD, S.C. – To end the duel season, the King University men's wrestling team competed at the Conference Carolinas Championship and finished 2
nd in the conference after beating Mount Olive in the Semi-Final and then falling to Lander in the championship match. The team ends the season with a new high of 12 duel victories overall and an 8-2 conference record which is the best in the history of the King University men's wrestling program

HOW IT HAPPENED – Mount Olive
- Brennan Watkins got the Tornado their first win of the duel via a 13-1 major decision win.
- At 157 pounds, Trent Mahoney battled it out with Jake Nicolosi to secure a 7-3 victory
- Clint Morrisette won by tech fall in the second period, followed by two wins by decision by Ethan Lopez and David Bertrand to swing the lead in favor of the Tornado
- To end the Semi-Final, Nathan Coley gets a big win by escaping and then maintaining control on top in the first tie-breaker period which sealed the deal and gave the team the victor over Mount Olive
HOW IT HAPPENED – Lander
- The Tornado fell short in the Championship in a match that was ultimately closer than the score reflects after giving it their all.
- Watkins was able to secure a takedown that earned him a win in the final seconds of the match via decision.
- Mahoney was able to get the major decision by a score of 15-4.
- At 174 pounds, Morrisette was able to avenge a loss from a match earlier in the season by defeating Nathan Buckovich 7-3.
