BRISTOL, Tenn. – King University held their annual Twisty Awards on Tuesday night. The ceremony was hosted at the Paramount Center for The Arts in downtown Bristol for the third time. Numerous awards were handed out, including the Al Nida Male Athlete of the Year and Susie Toomey Female Athlete of the Year.
Asmund Norum of men's golf was named the Al Nida Male Athlete of the Year winner. A four-time All-Conference Carolinas honoree, Norum recently was named Conference Carolinas men's golfer of the year after his finish at the conference championships.
The Susie Toomey Female Athlete of the Year winner was
Jessica Campbell of softball. A two-time All-American and All-Conference honoree, Campbell was batting .568 this season, with four triples and two home runs.
