BRISTOL, Tenn.- The King University Women's Soccer team showed resilience and attacking flair in a back-and-forth 2-2 draw with Shorter University at Parks Field. The Conference Carolinas matchup, played before 77 spectators, saw the Tornado rally twice to secure a hard-earned point at home.

King struck first in the 19th minute as
Charlotte Hart found the back of the net to give the Tornado an early lead. Shorter responded ten minutes later through Kaylin Stallings, leveling the score at 1-1 before halftime.
The second half saw both teams push for the advantage. Shorter took the lead in the 68th minute on a goal from Gianna Estavillo, assisted by Isabel Tressler. But King answered just six minutes later, as
Kelly Velasquez Cruz scored from an
Ella Froehlich assist in the 74th minute to tie the match at 2-2.
King dominated the attack, firing 28 shots (14 on goal) and earning five corner kicks, but Shorter goalkeeper Karis Eccleston made 12 saves to keep the contest level. Tornado keepers
