Bristol, Tenn.- King University swimmer Cristóbal Amiel delivered an impressive performance on the international stage this past week, competing in his home country at the Peru National Championships.
Racing in front of family, friends, and the national swimming community, Amiel earned two podium finishes, showcasing both his versatility and competitive edge.
- 3rd Place – 50 Backstroke: 25.8
- 3rd Place – 100 Freestyle: 51.1
Amiel's results highlight the continued growth of the standout Tornado swimmer, who has steadily developed into one of King's most reliable performers. Competing at nationals also provided him the opportunity to represent both his university and his home country with pride.
"These results speak to Cris' work ethic and commitment," said King head coach (insert coach name if you want). "Anytime an athlete can go home and perform at this level on a national stage, it's a special moment."
Amiel will return to Bristol with valuable experience and momentum as the Tornado prepare for the upcoming collegiate season.
