Young Harris, Ga.- The King University men's soccer team was unable to slow a potent Young Harris attack, falling 7-0 in Conference Carolinas action on Saturday, September 12, at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field in Young Harris, Ga.
Young Harris opened the scoring in the 17th minute and continued to build their lead, netting two goals in the first half and adding five more after halftime. King generated five shots—two on target—but couldn't break through against a YHC defense that allowed just one corner kick.
Daniel Cavanaugh recorded eight saves in net for the Tornado.
The Mountain Lions controlled the pace throughout, finishing with 31 shots, 15 on goal, and three corner kicks. King's best scoring opportunities came from
Julian Salinas and
Simeon Adair, who each forced a save.
