King University Honorees
BRISTOL, Tenn. – Conference Carolinas announced their Presidential Honor Roll for the fall semester and King University came in fourth in the league with 200 student-athletes named to the list. The Tornado baseball team led the way for King teams with 27 student-athletes on the list.
King finished fourth in the league behind North Greenville University (225), University of Mount Olive (223) and Emmanuel College who at 217 student-athletes on the list. In all 1,975 student-athletes from the 12 member schools were named to the Fall Presidential Honor Roll.
The baseball team led way for King with 27 student-athletes honored as nine King teams had at least 10 student-athletes named to the list. Women’s volleyball came in second at 16 while cheerleading was next at 12. Men’s basketball, women’s soccer and women’s wrestling all had 11 student-athletes on the list.
Each semester this recognition is given to student-athletes who achieve a grade point average of 3.2 of higher on the 4-point scale. All student-athletes, including underclassmen, transfers, and those who play non-conference sports, are eligible for the recognition as long as they have participated in a sport for the semester in question. The Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll is awarded twice each school year, recognizing the scholastic achievements of student-athletes for each semester.
