Ashley Woods led the Tornado this weekend at the Conference Carolinas Championship, where King set numerous records to finish 3rd in the tournament. Woods opened up the meet on Thursday by setting the school record in the 1000 yard freestyle with a second place time of 10:49.47. On Friday, the freshman set another school record, this time in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:58.39 to finish sixth. For the third straight day, Ashley Woods set yet another school record. In the 500 yard freestyle, she touched the wall in 5:13.81 to take fifth in the prelims. On the final day of the tournament, Woods finished runner-up in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 18:06.38. She also contributed to the 400 yard freestyle relay team that finished fourth with a school-record time of 3:40.59.
