BRISTOL, Tenn. – For the second time this season, Caroline Versluis of the King University acrobatics and tumbling team has been selected Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Freshman of the Week. Last week she helped King match a program-high and set a pair of season-highs in their meet against third-ranked Quinnipiac University.
In the tumbling duo pass, Versluis and Ashley Berlin posted a score of 9.150 out of 9.450, matching a program-best. She followed that with a stellar score of 9.325 out of 9.450 in the aerial pass. During the meet, Versluis helped King set a season-high of 9.65 in the compulsory pyramid heat and 8.85 out of 9.00 in toss heat 2.
Versluis was also selected ECAC Freshman of the Week on March 7.
King closes the regular season on March 30 when they travel to take on Limestone College at 6:00 p.m.
