BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University acrobatics & tumbling season came to an end two weeks ago, but Ashley Berlin qualified for the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) Event Finals. Berlin qualified in the tumbling aerial pass.
Berlin's score of 9.900 against Azusa Pacific University on March 3 set a new school record and qualified her for the event finals. She has competed in the aerial pass three times this season, scoring 9.600, 9.825 and 9.900.
This is the second time Berlin has qualified for the NCATA Event Finals. Last season she finished runner-up in the tumbling six-element pass.
The NCATA Event Finals will take place as part of the NCATA National Championship at the Ferrell Center in Waco, Texas as Baylor University serves as the host. The event finals are scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 27 starting at 12:00 p.m. (ET).
