Year-By-Year Season Recaps
2023:Â In her first season, Hanley guided the Tornado to a 4-7 record, going 3-5 in Conference Carolinas meets. The Tornado finished sixth in the conference standings, having their season come to an end in a conference quarterfinal at third seed Coker University. In the meet, King scored the fourth perfect 10.00 score in program history and third in hte open pyramid. King had five events qualify for the Conference Carolinas Event Finals as the duo pass from Alyssa Talabac and Madeline Robison scored 8.75 to take the league title. Bridget Sweeney and Alexis Wynn garnered first team All-Conference Carolinas honors while Kharissa Norvell earned second team honors. Wynn was also selected the Conference Carolinas Scholar Athlete of the Year for acrobatics & tumbling.
Prior to King
She was a two-time first team All-Conference Carolinas performer at Belmont Abbey College, where she was also a member of the inaugural team. In addition to the individual honors, she qualified for the conference championships in the event finals in both the open toss and trio pass during her time at Belmont Abbey.Â
She was a four-year captain, she won the Conference Carolinas championship in 2022 for the 450 salto toss, qualifying for the NCATA National Championships. She was twice named first team All-Conference Carolinas and was a three-time member of the Belmont Abbey Deans List.
Personal
Hanley competed in artistic gymnastics prior to pursuing an acrobatics & tumbling career in college, and is a level two coach, having served as a coach at private gym near her hometown in Tampa, Fla.
While at Belmont Abbey, Hanley earned her degree in Sport Management, with a minor in Psychology in 2022, and completed an administrative internship with the athletic department that focused on operations, promotions, and marketing.
