Peter Larson joins the King University baseball staff working inall aspects of the program primarily assisting with outfielders andthe pitching staff.
Larson comes to King after coaching at Collegiate High School inRichmond, Va. and Jamestown High School in Williamsburg, Va. Whileat both schools, he helped lead them to state tournamentappearances while working with the pitching staffs. Prior to that,he worked as a baseball instructor at RockIt sports, RichmondBaseball Academy West and Colonial baseball instruction.
Originally from Williamsburg, Va., Larson graduated from FerrumCollege in 2009 with a bachelor of science in BusinessManagement.
While at Ferrum, Larson was a member of the baseball team. Afternot participating in his first two seasons due to Tommy JohnSurgery, Larson helped win the 2007 USA South conferencechampionship and finish second in the south regional. In 2009,Larson led the team in earned run average. During his collegesummers, he played in leagues such as the Coastal Plain League,Valley League and the Southern Collegiate League.
Upon graduation, Larson went on to play professionally for theNew York Federals of the Can-Am League in 2011.
