King Baseball Fall Instructional Showcase dates announced

BRISTOL, Tenn. - The King College Baseball staff will host the 2010 Fall Instructional Showcase on Saturday October 23rd and Saturday November 13th. The pro style showcase will be held on campus at the King College Baseball Field.

All high school players from freshmen to seniors are invited to attend the camp that starts at 10 a.m. and will run no later than 5 p.m. Space is limited to the first 50 players. Pre-registration has already started for each showcase.

Registration runs from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and all campers are required to fill out the registration form and King College Camp release form.

The showcase camp will have participants run a 60-yard dash, defensive work, batting practice and bullpen work. Games will be played if enough players are available. Information will also include the recruiting process and the NCAA Clearinghouse.

"This is a great event for our baseball program," King head baseball coach Mac McClarrinon said about the two showcases. "We are able to see a lot of the local talent as well as players from different states that we are excited to get on campus. Last season we added five players from our roster from our showcase in our inaugural year."

Showcase Schedule & Cost

The cost of Instructional Showcase/Camp is $80 with a deposit of $50 if deposit is received by the Wednesday prior to the showcase. The cost of the Showcase will increase to $100 if deposit or payment is received after that Wednesday. Make all checks payable to King College Baseball all deposits are non-refundable.
