CLEMSON, S.C. – Cory Rimmer continued his excellent start to the 2014 mountain biking season with another victory at a muddy Clemson University race. Rimmer won the cross country race and finished third in the short track race to lead the King University cycling team.
For the second time in as many weeks, Rimmer came in ahead of the field in the cross country race. However, the conditions weren't as forgiving this week as Rimmer had to navigate a very sloppy course thanks to all the rain that fell at Clemson on Saturday. The course wasn't much better for the short track race on Sunday, but Rimmer came in with a third place finish.
Drew Bailey also competed in both races for the Tornado, taking sixth in the cross country race, and 11th in the short track race. On Saturday, Blake Adams came in with an 11th place finish in the men's B cross country race.
Also on Saturday, Kaysee Armstrong competed in Monster Cross in Pisgah, North Carolina where she finished second.
King will be in action again next weekend when they travel to the Union College (Ky.) race in Barbourville, Kentucky.
