Armstrong, Rimmer post five podium finishes at USAC Nationals

BEECH MOUNTAIN, N.C. – The mountain biking portion of the cycling schedule culminated this weekend at USA Cycling Collegiate Nationals where the Tornado had a solid showing at the three day event. Cory Rimmer finished on the podium twice while Kaysee Armstrong finished on the podium three times to lead King to a fourth place finish in Division II.

Rimmer started the weekend with a second place finish in the short track event before taking another runner-up finish in the cross country event. Armstrong started the weekend with a fourth place finish in the short track, and fifth place finish in the downhill. She then finished fourth in Sunday's downhill event, and barely missed the podium with a sixth place finish in the cross country event.

Rimmer also finished 18th in the slalom and 20th in the downhill while Drew Bailey took 12th in the short track and 27th in the cross country event.

King will open the cyclo-cross schedule on November 15-16 at Mars Hill University.
