King takes five top-10 finishes at cyclo-cross opener

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Coming off a great showing during the mountain bike season, the King University cycling team opened the cyclo-cross season with a solid showing. King placed five riders in the top-10 of their classification, including two in the men's category A race.

Reuben Dupre led the Tornado men's A group with a seventh place finish while William Mehta wasn't far behind with an eighth place finish. Blake Adams capped the top-10 runs in the men's A race for the Tornado with a 10th place finish. Alex Jensen came in next, taking 14th while Cory Rimmer finished 18th in the men's A race.

Taylor White and Alyssa Walsh also took home top-10 performances for the Tornado. White finished third in the men's B race, and Walsh took sixth in the women's A race.

King will be in action again next weekend when they travel to the Mars Hill race on Saturday.
