CLEMSON, S.C. – The King University cycling team came in with a solid finish of third at the Southeastern Collegiate Cycling Conference Championships on Saturday. In what turned out to be muddy conditions, Cory Rimmer and Kaysee Armstrong led the Tornado, both finishing in third of their respective races.
In the men's category A race, Rimmer led five King riders with a third place finish while Armstrong paced three Tornado women's category A riders with a third place finish. On the women's side, Jennifer Caicedo came in seventh, and Alyssa Walsh took 19th.
In the men's A race, Reuven Dupre followed Rimmer to take 21st while Blake Adams and William Mehta weren't far behind, finishing 23rd and 24th, respectively. William Guillen rounded out the men's A group with a 33rd place finish. In the men's category B race, Taylor White finished 17th and Quenton Lyons finished 26th.
The Tornado will next compete at the USA Cycling Collegiate Cyclo-Cross nationals on January 7-11 in Austin, Texas.
