Caicedo takes first national championship at USAC Collegiate Road Nationals

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The King University cycling team completed their season on Friday and Saturday with three cyclists competing at the USA Cycling Collegiate Road Nationals. Jennifer Caicedo led the way for King, winning the road race on Friday.

Caicedo won her first national title, taking the road race in Friday afternoon. She followed that with a 23rd place finish in the criterium on Saturday. Also racing for the Tornado was Emily Cox who finished 21st in the road race and took 21st again on Saturday in the criterium, which was a tough course in downtown Asheville.

On the men's side, Blake Adams wrapped up his career with a 40th place finish in the road race before taking 62 in the criterium.
