King finishes 104th at Lake Guntersville

GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. – The King University bass finishing team pulled in four fish at their first tournament at Lake Guntersville earlier this month.

David Tolbert and Alejandro Feliciano fished for the Tornado and were the 54th boat out of 208 boats to take the water at 7:00 a.m. on Friday. The duo was forced to go to their second option, an island near Browns Creek where Tolbert caught one finish early on, a 2.25-pound largemouth on a half-ounce football jig.

They didn't get another bite there and moved near a bridge by Spring Creek, and finally got another bite. While there, they caught five fish in 30 minutes, but only two were keepers. Tolbert and Feliciano left that spot and tried some other bridges, but they didn't have any luck. They returned to the same bridge where Tolbert caught their fourth keeper.

The tandem ended the tournament with five fish that totaled 11 pounds, 14 ounces. The Tornado placed 104th of 208 teams at the event.
