King scores 100-46 win at Hiwassee

MADISONVILLE, Tenn. - The King College men's basketball traveled to Hiwassee (Tenn.) College and posted a 100-46 victory led by 23 points from Mark Dockery Tuesday.

Dockery, a Nickelsville, Va. native, moved to No. 3 on King's All-Time Scoring list with 1,626 points for his career.

Eddie Piccinini (Orlando, Fla.) and Brandon Goss (St. Louis, Mo.) both finished with a dozen points.

Clarence Smith (Nashville, Tenn.) moved into the 1,300-point club, the 16th member in program history, with 10 points.

Michael Fortune (Beckley, W.Va.) chipped in 10 points.

King reached the century mark for the fourth time this season and the 43 points allowed are the fewest since Milligan (Tenn.) College posted 49 points on Feb. 15, 2010. The 54 point margin of victory was the largest since the Tornado defeated Hiwassee on Feb. 24, 2010 in Bristol 127-62.

The Tornado improved to 11-12 on the season. Next for King will be a home game against Life (Ga.) University on Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. Last season the teams split the season series with Life winning in Bristol 75-67 on Nov. 21 before King evened the score with an 86-85 victory at Life on Jan. 23.
