GREENVILLE, S.C. - King College used a win over a NCCAA Division I Top-5 team to move up to No. 8 in the final regular season NCCAA Men's Basketball Division I Burbridge Rating, released by the national office.

The Tornado's Burbridge of 7.077 was up from the 6.896 a week earlier that had the team at No. 10. The boost in the ranking was helped by a 72-63 win at then No. 3 Campbellsville (Ky.) University 72-63 last Wednesday. The No. 8 spot is the highest King has been since Dec. 12, the second Burbridge report which was also No. 8.
