Tornado opens NCAA Division II stat report with eight Top-50 marks

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - King College obtained eight Top-50 NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Stat Rankings, the organization announced. The Tornado posted five team rankings and three individual rankings.

Jason Seymore (Powell, Tenn.) ranked No. 5 nationally with his 73.0 field goal percentage. He helped King to a No. 48 spot as a team in the field goal percentage category as the team owns a 48.9 mark so far this season. Seymore also used a 7.8 rebounds per game average to rank No. 98 in that category.

Mark Dockery (Nickelsville, Va.) used a 44.4 three-point percentage to land at No. 11. The Tornado used a 41.6 team three-point percentage to rank No. 8 in NCAA Division II. Dockery also posted a 44.4 percentage from behind the three-point line which ranked No. 39. King was No. 17 in three-point percentage in the team category with a 41.6 mark.

The Tornado also used 17.3 assist per game to fall in at No. 28 and a 1.14 assist to turnover ratio which was good enough for No. 41.

King, at 6-6 so far in the 2010-11 season, will play at UNC Asheville Thursday at 7 p.m.
