BRISTOL, Tenn. – For the second time this season, King University men's basketball player Hunter LeVeau has garnered Conference Carolinas Player of the Week honors. Last week he eclipsed 1,500 career points and helped the Tornado a pair of wins, including a 96-89 victory over Conference Carolinas-leading Limestone College.

LeVeau helped the Tornado avenge a pair of losses earlier this season, defeating Emmanuel College on Wednesday and Limestone on Saturday. In the contest against Limestone, the Johnson City, Tenn., native shot 5-for-11 from three-point range, and was one of five King scorers in double figures with 17 points.

Earlier in the week in a win over Emmanuel he went 6-for-10 from long range, pouring in 26 points and grabbing four rebounds. LeVeau's 26 points was three-points off of his career-high of 29 points, which he has hit twice this season. The senior also eclipsed the 1,500-point mark in his career against Emmanuel. Following the game against Limestone, he now has 1,536 career points and is eighth on the King all-time list.

LeVeau was previously named Conference Carolinas Player of the Week on November 28. He now has four conference weekly awards in his career.

King stays at home this week to face Erskine College on Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. and the University of Mount Olive on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
