BRISTOL, Tenn. – King University men's basketball player Jordan Floyd earned Conference Carolinas Player of the Week honors on Monday, and on Tuesday he was selected Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) Player of the Week.
Floyd led The Tornado to a pair of Conference Carolinas wins averaging 26.0 points per game and shooting 58.6 percent last week. He started the week by pouring in 25 points on 9-for-14 shooting from the field, including a 5-for-7 mark from long range at North Greenville University.
He followed that with 27 points, leading King to their second 100-point outburst of the season in a win over Southern Wesleyan University. For the week he shot 53.3 percent from three, and went 10-for-10 from the free throw line. He also handed out 10 assists, six at North Greenville. He has scored at least 20 points in the last six games for the Tornado.
The Tornado are in action again on Wednesday night when they host Limestone College in the Student Center Complex at 7:30 p.m.
