BRISTOL, Tenn. – For the second straight week a King University men's basketball player has been selected Conference Carolinas Player of the Week. Mike Salomon helped lead the Tornado to pair of wins last week while posting his career-high in points early in the week to earn the honor.

Salomon had a big shooting week, leading King to a pair of Conference Carolinas wins. He started by making going 7-for-9 from three-point range and scoring 21 points in a win over Limestone College. The seven triples ranks fourth in school history for triples in a game and the 21 points set a career-high and marked his first 20-point game.

He followed that with 14 points and seven rebounds in a defensive battle at Belmont Abbey College on Saturday. For the week he averaged 17.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game while shooting 50.0 percent from the floor and 56.3 percent from three. This marks the first weekly honor Salomon has earned.

King returns home to face Emmanuel College on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. in the Student Center Complex.
