BRISTOL, Tenn. – In the final set of NCAA Regional Rankings, the King University men's basketball team is ranked sixth, up a spot from the previous two rankings. The Tornado are currently 23-6 overall, but 20-6 in NCAA Southeast Region games.
Lincoln Memorial University is currently atop the region with UNC Pembroke in second. The Tornado are one of four Conference Carolinas schools in the rankings. Belmont Abbey College is eighth, Emmanuel College in ninth and Southern Wesleyan University is 10th.
King completed the regular season with an overall record of 22-6, going 16-4 in Conference Carolinas play to win the outright regular season title. It marks the fourth time has won the Conference Carolinas regular season championship.
The Tornado won their Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Championship quarterfinal matchup with North Greenville University on Tuesday night. King will now take Southern Wesleyan on Saturday night at Wofford College in the first conference semifinal at 5:30 p.m.
