Gallishaw joined the Tornado men's basketball staff in the summer of 2019 and helped King capture their fourth Conference Carolinas regular season title in 2019-20.

Year-By-Year Highlights

2019-20: The Tornado posted a  23-7 record, going 16-4 in Conference Carolinas play, en route to the Conference Carolinas regular season title. King saw their season come to an end in the Conference Carolinas semifinals to Southern Wesleyan. Jordan Floyd led the nation in scoring, earning Rob Lenz National Player of the Year honors from the D2CCA. He was an All-America, All-Region and all-conference selection as well as Conference Carolinas Player of the Year. James Brown earned second team all-conference honors and was named Conference Carolinas Scholar-Athlete of the Year as well as garnering CoSIDA Academic All-District recognition.

Prior to King

Gallishaw played a Tornado rival Virginia Intermont College and has been a coach in Bristol for many years. He is the second-leading scorer in program history, scoring more than 1800 career points. He also handed out more than 700 assists in his career and earned NAIA All-America honors as a senior. Gallishaw then served as an assistant coach for the Cobras from 2004-06.

Personal

He earned is Master of Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University. While working on his Master’s degree, Gallishaw taught in the Bristol Tennessee City School system. While teaching, he coached basketball at Tennessee High School and Vance Middle School.
