BRISTOL, Tenn. – Prior to the start of the Conference Carolinas Men's Golf Championship, the league announced their academic all-conference honorees. The King University men's golf team had six players recognized by the league.
Robert Wilkinson, Matthew Dalrymple, Kesley March, Noah Harkness, Miles Ruff and Wataru Koguchi were all honored. Koguchi owns a 3.40 GPA while Ruff is at 3.73 and Harkness has a 3.91 GPA. Wilkinson has a 3.87 GPA, March is at 3.95 and Dalrymple owns a 3.97 GPA.
On the course, Wilkinson leads King with a 73.33 stroke average, two top-five finishes and three top 10 finishes. Dalrymple has one top 10 finish and a stroke average of 74.60 while Ruff owns a stroke average of 76.71.
March, Koguchi and Harkness all have played in two rounds for the Tornado this season.
The Conference Carolinas Academic All-Conference teams are comprised of junior and senior student-athletes who have competed in a conference-sponsored sport and maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale in all work completed at their member institution. The GPA is calculated based on the student-athlete's cumulative average through the previous semester and each student-athlete must have attended their member institution for at least one academic year.
The Conference Carolinas Men's Golf Championship is scheduled to start on Sunday and conclude on Tuesday at Cutter Creek Golf Club in Snow Hill, N.C.
